Naughty By Nature gives us a 7-pack of songs that were tucked away until now. Overall, these were some pretty decent songs. I can see how they left these on the floor near the chopping block when making their albums, but nonetheless, these were decent songs. One critique I would make would be questioning if it is the appropriate time to put out the darker-themed or struggle songs. We are in the midst of a global pandemic and also with social and racial tensions at an all time high, do people really want to hear more about how depressing life can be? Might not have been the right timing with some of those songs. There are some dope tracks like “Breezy” that have a good vibe and a good hook. This is a little bit lighter and easier to deal with right now. All in all, Naughty By Nature are icons and legends and they always do dope work. I just question the timing. At least they are keeping the streets fed with some new content.
