RJ Payne delivers more lyrical torture for haters out there. Inspired by Eminem’s comments about him, RJ Payne names this album pretty appropriately. Lyrically, this is top tier rhyming and you can’t do any better than this. His bars are pure brutality and will mow down any MC out there. He’s got some great features from Freeway, Rock, Vado, Jag, and more. The beats are pretty decent overall. I think he has hit a good stride for the types of beats he is selecting, but I also do think that he would sound great on some different production, possibly from some hip hop heavyweights like DJ Premier, Buckwild, or even someone like Nottz. The highlight of this project is “Boogieman vs. Leatherface” featuring Ransom. These are 2 of the most severe lyricists in the game and to hear them trading bars is something that you can only call legendary. All in all, RJ Payne is pure greatness and continues to stranglehold the hip hop game with his bars. We definitely look forward to Leatherface 2 when that comes along.
