Planet Asia and The Snowgoons give us an absolutely slamming new project. This one showcases Planet Asia’s skills perfectly. He flows over these boom bap beats with the greatest of ease. He never runs out of words at all and can keep flowing for eons. He just sounds so great over the beats that The Snowgoons provide. The production is a good mix between boom bap and clever samples. They really know how to complement the artists they work with and they definitely did their thing on this project. You get 6 dope tracks and the instrumental version of each one as well. Planet Asia can’t be stopped and we don’t want him to be stopped.

Planet Asia teams up with producer Body Bag Ben to bring us another new project. This one definitely has an ominous feeling to it and can be very eerie at times. Nonetheless, it is a very focused project at the same time. On the mic, Planet Asia sounds great, just as he always does. It really is uncanny how he never runs out of dope rhymes. This is an unbeatable MC. He is spitting his Egyptian merchandise all over some dope beats. He gets some great features from Snoop Dogg, Tristate, Yah-Ra, and more. The production side of things is handled by Body Bag Ben and he does another fantastic job on the boards. His eerie style coupled with hard-hitting drums serves as a perfect backdrop for Planet Asia to do his thing. The highlight of this project is the neck-snapping “Heavy Metal.” As the title suggests, this one is definitely not to be taken lightly. All in all, the 2 two artists do a great job at constructing a strong album for hip hop fans.

Planet Asia teams up with producer NugLife to bring us a quick new project. This one is only 7 tracks and is pretty laid back overall. This is definitely going to be the project that you smoke to right here. Planet Asia delivers his signature exquisite, pyramid bars that we have grown used to. NugLife gives us piano and horn heavy beats that are a bit more laid back so as to take a break from life. If you need to just sit back and relax and think out your life plan, this will be the soundtrack to that moment there. Another dope Planet Asia venture to add to the house.

Planet Asia and Scarr join forces to bring us a quick new project of bars. There are only 7 tracks and they are split pretty evenly down the middle between these two rappers. Both MCs are great on the mic and end up being a good combination that I wouldn’t have thought of previously. Both have great flows and never seem to run out of words. There are only 3 features from Che Noir, The Musalini, and Street Gz. The production on here is pretty decent as well. The beats definitely seem to match the personalities of the MCs which is always a great thing to hear. All in all, they did a good job with this EP.

Planet Asia returns with a brand new project chock full of dope Egyptian merchandise for listener’s ears. He spits his usual direct and opulent flows that never seem to run out. It’s always great listening to Planet Asia because you get the same style that you always come back for, but a fresh set of wordplay each and every time. The beats on here are pretty dope all around. The highlight on this project is “F.Y.P.M. (Fuck You Pay Me).” This song has a slamming beat and his most focused rhymes of the project. All in all, this is another great brick on the pyramid that Planet Asia built. We always look forward to his work.

Planet Asia teams up with Jay EF to give us a fresh new offering of jewelry. It’s always great to hear from Planet Asia and this new one is no different. He serves up 11 new tracks for fans. His bars are ancient Egyptian artifacts on display for all to revel in. The beats are fresh and definitely a good mix of some hard-hitting tracks and some smoothed out songs. It offers a good contrast for different moods. The highlight is the track “Cause You Pain” which features Supreme Sam Jones, Allah Christ, and Yaboycosmo assisting Planet Asia on the bars. This one is a banger and all the MCs do their thing on the mic. All in all, another great release from Planet Asia.

This was a pretty dope release from Planet Asia and his Gold Chain Music imprint. It definitely has those holiday vibes in the style that only Planet Asia can provide. He spits his opulent, ancient Egypt style bars that are definitely a few steps above the competition. He’s got some features on here from Tristate, Blu, Killa Kali, and more. The features actually blend very well into the songs, probably more so than most other albums I have heard recently. The beats on here are decent. While there may not be any classic tracks, it still sounds decent and has just enough holiday flair to it to make them dope. This was a timely release and Planet Asia did another solid job with this one.

Planet Asia drops an exciting new album that has rap fans in a frenzy. PA is constantly dropping albums but this one has a bit more hype than normal. This one is entirely produced by Evidence from Dilated Peoples. There really isn’t much that can be said about both of them that you shouldn’t already know. Planet Asia’s mic work is elegant and refined as usual as he twists words and phrases. There are a few features from the likes of Rome Streetz, Milano Constantine, Domo Genesis, and Evidence himself. On the boards, Evidence definitely has his own style and is defining it more and more with each release. He really sounds like he is finding his own footing which is a good thing. The album plays through extremely well as both parties continue to keep their high standard of quality throughout. This is definitely a great album and true hip hop fans will revel in it.

Planet Asia drops a dope new EP with 6 tracks for fans to indulge in. This one is pretty slamming from beginning to end even though it is short. On the mic, Planet Asia is very focused and spitting West Coast darts right through the competition. He’s got some great features from Thirstin Howl III, DV Alias Khryst, Ty Nitty, and more. The beats on here are definitely slamming as well. The highlight is “Operation Jet-Black” with it’s slamming beat that Planet Asia rides perfectly. Another highlight is the Lo-Life track “Boats And Horses” featuring Thirstin Howl III and DV Alias Khryst. This one shows Love and Loyalty to the fullest with those 2 L’s up. Planet Asia, Madlib, and DJ Invasion combine like Voltron to bring a new project that is straight heat. Planet Asia delivers fire bars throughout as he usually does. There are dope features from Conway, Ty Farris, Esoteric, SmooVth, and Willie The Kid. There isn’t a whack verse on this short project. The beats are pretty dope as well. Slamming and majestic beats abound throughout this one. The only thing is that this project should have been longer so fans could have heard more of what they love.

Planet Asia delivers a new album that sounds drastically different than previous releases. Quite honestly, this one has a much weirder sound than what we are used to. As far as the lyrics, we all know that Planet Asia is no slouch on the mic. He can definitely deliver bars. I think he was just trying out some different styles on this one. The beats are really far out there on this offering. They have just such a piercing and weird sound to them. The best track on here is “I Know You Know” featuring Yolanda Sargent. This one sounds like classic Planet Asia. A lot of the other tracks may be harder for people to get through as they might not be used to these sounds. We definitely respect Planet Asia but this was not one of his better offerings.

Planet Asia drops off a new project called Block Shaman. This one was decent but, wasn’t quite his best work to date. Planet Asia definitely puts out a lot of material and he never gets stale at all. He offers this forceful and lyrical approach to his bars which real hip hop heads most certainly respect. He brings that same energy to this project. You also get some decent features from Defari, Phil The Agony, Rome Streetz, Styliztik Jones, and more. The part that was a little bit lacking was the production side of things. The beats were ok, but I feel like we are more used to a better quality of beats from his selections. This is not to say that they were bad in anyway. It’s just that this wasn’t his best work ever. Planet Asia is still a lyrical swordsman and his albums are always something to look forward to.

Planet Asia teams up with The Musalini to give you a pimped out, fly rap extravaganza. Not really being exposed to The Musalini too much previously, this was a good way to introduce myself to him. On the mic, Planet Asia is flawless as ever. He spits that ancient Egypt, fly, adornment style raps. The Musalini is a bit more laid back and sounds more in the pimp zone next to Planet Asia. I think Planet Asia definitely edged him out if we were scoring bars. The beats on here are definitely above average. Planet Asia definitely has a knack for selecting the best and most soulful beats to rhyme over. This is definitely a must listen to album.

Planet Asia blesses us rap fans with yet another dope project. This dude really is on a different frequency that most of these MCs out here. He’s so far ahead and so different than most others, it really is uncanny. His bars are fantastic throughout this project. The beats on here are not too far off from classic. He always knows how to spit that hidden Egyptian wisdom straight out of a pyramid to bless all the people with. The production backing him up is so complementary of his style also. Highlights on this project include “Yin Yang Everything,” “Ichi Tequila,” and “Hole In The Wall.” Planet Asia really does a tremendous job on this new record and we always look forward to hearing from the god. Planet Asia teams up with A-Plus Tha Kid to release a really dope new EP. At only 7 songs, they cram it full with bars and beats. On the mic, you already know that Planet Asia is a genius and he never disappoints. His bars are as smooth and as well-crafted as ever. A-Plus matches that talent and spits his own flavor of bars that complement Planet Asia and sounds pretty good. The beats on here are also very good as well. Dirty Diggs handles all of the tracks except for a banger thrown in there by 38 Spesh. They both did a fantastic job on here. The highlights for me were “Rents Due” and “Opera Show” featuring Che Noir. This is a must listen for the true hip hop fans out there. You won’t be disappointed.

Planet Asia teams up with producer Dirty Diggs to deliver a great new album. This one really plays through very well. Planet Asia on the mic is always a problem for MCs out there today. He is precise and regal just like an ancient Egyptian artifact taken straight out of the pyramids. Combine this with Dirty Diggs on the boards and you have a real problem on your hands. Dirty Diggs definitely seemed to complement Planet Asia well as he knew how to create beats that Planet Asia would sound great over. This was a real good listen and both artists did a great job. Planet Asia teams up with producer Dirty Diggs to give us a fantastic new project. This one is stone cold when it comes to the bars provided by Planet Asia and the beats provided by Dirty Diggs. Planet Asia is just a force in the industry and creates such dope lyrics every time he touches the mic. Diggs gives us another dope audio landscape for Planet Asia to do his thing. This one has an Arctic cold tundra feel to it from the beats to the audio samples telling us about the life of Eskimos. It really creates a unique feeling for this project that makes it stand apart from other projects. All in all, they did a great job with this and hip hop heads will love this one.

Planet Asia links with the group Yard Massive to release a new project. This one is a little underwhelming. Planet Asia has definitely always been a supreme wordsmith, but these other cats don’t seem to hold a candle to him on the mic. It was pretty sloppy as far as the bars. We weren’t too impressed here. The beats were average to maybe a little below average. For a positive, I’d say that some of the hooks are catchy, if nothing else. But just because something is catchy doesn’t automatically make it good. “These Lines” is a good example of a hook that will get stuck in your head. Overall, not a very good showing and we were hoping for a lot more out of this project.

Planet Asia & Yard Massive - Yard To The Last Song

Planet Asia teams up with 38 Spesh behind the boards to give us a brand new album. Separately, both artists are amazing at what they do. Planet Asia has always been a boss with his rhymes and 38 Spesh definitely does his thing both on the mic and on the production side of things. Both definitely do their thing on this album. My only issue is that while they are both awesome, this particular mix of artists might not have worked together as well as it looked like on paper. I do think there is a slight issue where the styles just don’t mesh perfectly. Planet Asia definitely slays the bars, but I think 38 Spesh makes a particular sound that might be better suited for more of the East Coast artists, especially from the Buffalo & Rochester areas. Planet Asia definitely sounds better over the Fresno/West Coast/Egyptian medallion -type beats that we have grown accustomed to him rhyming over. And again, just to be clear, there was nothing whack on this project at all. I just don’t know if it was the greatest mash-up putting these 2 artists together.

This is a quick 7 track project from the West Coast Legend Planet Asia. By now, you already know he comes correct on the rhymes on every project he releases. This one is no different. He never loses the passion in his rhymes at all. The beats on here are pretty dope overall as well. There are some dope samples that make it sound like this is a lost tomb in a newly discovered pyramid. The horns on “20,000” are pretty dope and set a good backdrop for hard drums and hard rhymes. Planet Asia is at the top of his game and he is showing you why on this brief project.

The West Coast wordsmith Planet Asia teams up with the East Coast soldier Milano Constantine to drop a very quick, but very dope EP. This one may be small, but all the songs are bangers. The production on here is superb and will definitely cause you to snap your neck as you are bobbing your head to the beats. There’s no cause for concern on the rhymes at all because both MCs most definitely can rhyme and they do it a lot better than a lot of you other rappers out there. Planet Asia has this uncanny knack of just always sounding great when he rhymes. He doesn’t drop whack verses ever. Milano is a strong rhymer that complements Planet Asia very well. Overall this is a really strong release. Even though it is short, it is definitely worth a listen or 3.

Planet Asia drops a quick new project for fans. This one was super quick. As always, his bars are top notch. You can’t really coach Planet Asia on the lyrical side of things as he has been pro-level spitting for quite a long time. Even with a few features on this new project, he still is able to insert his witty and clever wordplay throughout the songs. The beats on here were decent, but at the same time, I don’t think they were quite up to par with his normal choices in production. It seems like he is almost always cooking something up, so it’s very possible he is saving the better beats for future projects. We definitely look forward to that. All in all, not a bad look though on this new project.

Planet Asia and Rasco assemble once again as the Cali Agents and drop a really dope album here. As far as the rhymes, there’s no question that these two MCs are killing it on the mic. They both spit fantastically-crafted bars that should move a lot of artists to get their pen moving a little better. The beats on here are great throughout the 10 song project. You get fantastic beats with dope samples that the boom-bap lovers will love. You really aren’t going to get a whack song on here. I wouldn’t really call out one particular song as the best on here, but rather, it’s just a dope project from beginning to end. Hip hop purists rejoice, this one is for you.

Planet Asia comes back at us with a dope new project. This one took a few songs to get going, but there are definitely some tracks later in the album that are really dope. Planet Asia is usually always dope on the mic. That is no question. He spits that Egyptian cloth and fine golden pottery that is just so dope and fly. Although all of the tracks on this project are at least decent, there were some that just didn’t stand up to others on the album. Some great tracks include “Burning Bush,” “Get In Line,” “Gold Chain, California” and “The Barbarian.” If you are a fan of Planet Asia, you will definitely be feeling this most recent release.

Another very strong album from Planet Asia, this time joined by fellow MC Killa Kali. Planet Asia just cannot be stopped and he is always on point as far as quality goes. As far as bars, you are getting a project that is chock full of dope rhymes from both rappers. They spit their Cali flows near flawlessly over some quality beats. I think if you take a Planet Asia solo album, you will get better beats on those projects. That is not to say that these aren’t good beats on here. They are definitely dope, but it just seems like he is keeping the best of the best for himself which I’m not mad at at all. This album is very cohesive and plays pretty much straight through which is always good. You will not get bored listening to this one.
