Napoleon Da Legend teams up with producer Giallo Point to give us another fresh batch of dope rhymes. Always flipping some dope lyrical patterns, NDL is always on point with his bars. His flow is amazing as usual all throughout this project as well. He has 2 features from Supreme Cerebral and Nejma Nefertiti. The track “Nas And AZ” that features Nejma Nefertiti is another amazing example of how well these two work together. The way they sound together is almost the same feeling you get when you hear Styles and Jadakiss rhyme together. It is like it was meant to be. The production on this album is dope as well. Giallo Point is a fantastic underground producer that has been doing his thing for quite a while. He gives us some great beats with interesting samples and definitely complements Napoleon. All in all, another strong album from Napoleon Da Legend.

Napoleon Da Legend comes right back at us with another new slamming project. This one is more directed at the bars and boom bap fans. On the mic, NDL is smooth as ever and as complex with his bars and flow. He never seems to run out of gas and can go on forever. It really is uncanny. He gets features from Nejma Nefertiti, Eloh Kush, Sicknature, and more. On the production side of things, Sicknature gives us another dope batch of beats for NDL to rip through. He always does a good job of complementing the sound of the MC through the boom bap beats. These two definitely have a chemistry and it shows through every time. As always, we are looking forward to everything they do together.

NAPOLEON DA LEGEND – TWO PIECE

Napoleon Da Legend drops a new project that is Anime-inspired. I’m a huge fan of NDL and most of the things he does, but every once in a while, he drops a project that is just not for me. This one was a bit different from previous releases. His rhymes are top notch. That is something that never changes. I think that this is just a realm that is not meant for me on this project. The beats are definitely a lot different than what would be considered the norm for music today. I think NDL does his best when he is ripping through some boom bap style beats, but this project doesn’t really have any of that. This is probably a project that is going to be more geared towards anime fans, and that is definitely not me. I’m absolutely certain that there is an audience for this, it is just going to be more of a niche audience and that is ok. This one just wasn’t for me. NDL always has my allegiance and loyalty though and I will definitely be checking out the next installment.

NAPOLEON DA LEGEND & NEJMA NEFERTITI – BARZ WITH THE LEGEND

We needed this album so bad and we got it. Napoleon Da Legend and Nejma Nefertiti team up again for another barrage of fire lyrics. These 2 sound so great going back and forth. This is like the updated version of Jadakiss and Styles for the next generation. Both are highly skilled and are able to adapt quickly. You can’t coach these 2 when they are on fire like this. Every track on here is strong and they show their skills off wonderfully. The beats on here are pretty decent. I wouldn’t quite say they are classic, but they are very strong and complement the MCs well. This is really true hip hop at its core and any microphone out there is not safe when these 2 are around. Props to both Napoleon and Nejma for a job well done with this one.

Napoleon Da Legend teams up with producer Gyver Hypman to give us another new slamming project. The bars are heavy on this one as they are mostly provided by Napoleon with help from a few features. You will also hear from the likes of Nejma Nefertiti, Ill Conscious, Supreme Cerebral, The Bad Seed, and more. The beats on here are pretty dope overall. I wouldn’t exactly call them boom bap, but they definitely have some great drums and instrumentation to them throughout. There are a few highlights on here including “Praise Everything” which has a great message about how to approach life. I definitely identified with that song. All in all, another great project from Napoleon. The man is a machine and never stops working!

Napoleon Da Legend drops off another new project that continues his legacy. This one is slightly different than some of his previous offerings. It has a bit more of a laid back feel. There are a few tracks that have some heavier basslines, but for the most part, you will get some stripped down samplings that may not be as boisterous, but still dope. His bars are always top notch. He’s proven it over and over again, and he is just getting better. The highlight of this album is “Purple Glasses.” This is an ode to a love of the past and you can almost put yourself in his shoes and feel what he is feeling with the way he describes the situation. This is definitely a great song to connect with the artist. All in all, another great project from Napoleon Da Legend.

Napoleon Da Legend teams up with Just Music Beats to give us this fresh new product called Modus Operandi. This is a pretty strong project overall. You already should know how NDL operates on the mic. He is a surgeon and his flow is fantastic. His multicultural rhymes span the globe and show all of the whack MCs out there how this game is really supposed to go. There are features from Torae, Nejma Nefertiti, The Bad Seed, and more. The beats on here are strong as well. Just Music Beats gives us a lot of hard hitting beats to nod our heads to while Napoleon laces the lyrics. One great highlight from this album is the first and title track of the album “Modus Operandi.” NDL definitely blacks out over this beat and sets the tone for the record. It’s a very good combination of MC and producer and we definitely hope to see more from them in the future.

NDL never slips when it comes to delivering dope lines and a masterful flow. I don’t even think the word “loss” is in his vocabulary. He is killing it on the lyrical tip. With the beats, Amerigo is giving us boom bap beats that are almost reminiscent of old school times in rap music history. He really does a great job at crafting some pure rap music for fans to bob their head to. This is a combination that I would definitely like to see more from in the future.

Napoleon Da Legend teams up with producer Dus to give us a slamming new project guaranteed to bicycle kick listeners right in their ears. The beats are pretty good on here from front to back. You get a lot of solid production here with good drums and different, but quality samples mixed in. Napoleon kills it on the mic once again and continues to show people why he is a great MC. His wordplay is outstanding and just does a fantastic job with his bars. The highlight on this project is “Budokai” which boasts hard beat and supreme rhymes. Napoleon is a worldly quality asset and deserves your respect.

Napoleon Da Legend teams up with Nejma Nefertiti for an amazing new project. This one is so fresh and sounds so great with these two MCs together. On the mic, you already know that Napoleon does his thing. Whether it is his wordplay or his flow, he is knocking it out of the park. Combine this with Nejma, and you have a force to be reckoned with. Not wildly familiar with her previously, I didn’t quite know what to expect. After hearing her flow through track after track effortlessly, she’s got another fan in me. The beats on here were great as well. There were a lot of beats that complemented the way they sound which is smooth and hip-hop combined. This album is fantastic and you are doing yourself a disservice if you are skipping over this one. Huge props to Napoleon and to Nejma for creating this project and I hope we get more from them together in the future!

Napoleon Da Legend teams up with producer Akhenaton for a third installment of The Whole In My Heart series. This one was my least favorite of the 3. With the bars, Napoleon is always on top of his game. He is always able to deliver quality bars so there was no problem there. There were decent features especially from Nejma Nefertiti who I believe he will be working with on the next project. I wasn’t feeling the production as much on this one. The beats didn’t really resonate as much. I didn’t hear a joint that made me want to throw it on repeat. All in all, I wouldn’t call this a bad project at all. Napoleon is very talented and that usually shines through. This just wasn’t one of his better projects to me.

Napoleon and Akhenaton give us a second batch of tracks to check out in their musical adventure. Again they drop off another fresh dose of sounds. Napoleon’s bars are great and just sounds so focused and so polished. Akhenaton does an interesting and great job with the production. This is definitely an international vibe through real hip hop. A highlight is “People Always Come First.” This is a really good song about how the focus in the world needs to change and it definitely makes sense. We wish it would make sense for all people but hopefully someday we get there. If you liked the first go round, you will like this one as well.

You can just hear the talent in his voice. He’s got an incredible skill when it comes to writing. To bring out the best in an MC, it really requires a great producer to team up with and it sounds like Napoleon is branching out and trying new things. Akhenaton gives us some dope tracks that sound a little different than what we are used to, but in a good way. It’s a fresh perspective on things musically. All in all, this was a strong release from Napoleon Da Legend, especially on the lyrics side of things.

Napoleon’s work ethic is definitely top tier as he continues to release quality project after quality project. I must admit, I’m not really familiar with Japanese anime or Dragonball or anything related. I’ve heard of a few things, but I’m probably not going to pick out some of the things Napoleon has put into his bars. That aside, he is serving up another fresh batch of superior rhyme skills for fans around the world. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this guy’s flow is impeccable and he will rhyme circles around a lot of y’all MCs. The beats on here are pretty decent as well. There might have been one or two I could do without, but there were definitely some interesting ones like “Majin Vegeta” and “Master Roshi.” He sounds regal on tracks like “Shenron.” This is a very versatile MC and he is showing his talent again and again.

Napoleon Da Legend continues his assault on the industry with another album to spin the heads of the unaware. On the mic, Napoleon is fresh as ever and relentless with his talent and intelligent, worldly bars. He even has some decent features from fellow MCs Ro Data, Sage Infinite, Jamol Gasol, Juga-Naut, El Ay, and more. The production on this album is dope. There are some great drums and some interesting horn samples that are thrown in to really make the beats sound unique. The overall theme of the album I may not be too familiar with, but I take that it is a play on some kind of anime. Overall, this project was real dope. A good highlight from this one was “Legend Of The Cyclops” with its boom bap beat. Napoleon sounds great over those kinds of beats.

NAPOLEON DA LEGEND & GIALLO POINT – STREET UNIVERSE

For all the people that don’t understand, this will be the one that MAKES you understand how good Napoleon Da Legend really is. I don’t think people really understand how far ahead of MCs that Napoleon is. He is out here lapping rappers in the race. He really needs more recognition for his incredible talent. His bars are relentless and diverse. His worldly views and robust vocabulary make his rhyme schemes top notch. Then you add his impeccable flow and he is a force to be reckoned with. Giallo Point has always been a real good producer and this is evidenced by his work with Hus Kingpin, SmooVth, and others. He brings back some more great beats and samples here for this project. There are more than a few beats here that will be sure to have your neck bobbing. Highlights include the expert wordplay on “3 Fourths.” This is one of those songs where Napoleon really blacks out on. It has a great beat with a nice Spanish vocal sample that sounds fantastic. Another great track is “God Complex.” This is yet another one that has a great beat and Napoleon blesses the mic in an otherworldly fashion. It really is uncanny how good he is. The masses better get on board quick because this man has something to say.

NAPOLEON DA LEGEND – CHARLES DE GAULLE

This brand new project from Napoleon Da Legend is fantastic. There are 8 songs in total: 4 in French and then 4 in English with the same beats. First of all, it just goes to show you the talent of Napoleon how he can rhyme in different languages and make it sound great. Obviously I can’t understand French, but it is amazing that he can flip the rhymes like that. The English songs that he has on here are amazing. The production was really stepped up on this project. Even though it is shorter, it is jam packed with freshness. The highlight for me was “Pernell Whitaker.” Napoleon absolutely blacked out on this track. His flow is unmatched, his bars were next level, and sounded perfect on this song. I was blown away by how great he sounded. Also, I’d probably be remiss if I didn’t say it, but I think we got a shout out on the track “Your Welcome.” I might be wrong, but it sounded like it. We’ll hope to hear Napoleon verify it. All in all, this was a really dope project that showcases the talent of this MC. This is why he is out here slaying it.

Napoleon Da Legend hits us with another dope project. It almost feels like he has been trying out some different styles recently and this one is a tad different than other recent ones. This one is a bit more smooth. As always, he is killing it on the mic. The rhymes are expertly built; there’s never a question about that. He is out here smashing on mediocre rappers. There are a few boom bap type beats on here with some that are a bit more smoothed out. A highlight on this project is “Buffalo Wings” which features Toney Boi & DJ Bazarro. You definitely get an entire world view with Napoleon Da Legend whether it comes through the beats or the rhymes. He gives a broader scope on things. He’s a true artist we will always be checking for.

Napoleon Da Legend releases another project that is quite different than his other works. He’s ridiculously talented on the mic and can spit some really dope bars. That is definitely apparent on this project. The production was different as there is more of an influence of afrobeats. Personally, I wasn’t feeling it too much. It’s not to say that it wasn’t good, it’s just that this record wasn’t meant for me. There were a few joints that were pretty decent like “16 Bit” and “For My Folks.” These tended to have more of a standard hip hop feel. While I might not have liked this album very much, there is an audience for it. I definitely look forward to the next thing coming from Napoleon Da Legend.

The super MC Napoleon Da Legend teams up again with Snowgoons rapper/producer Sicknature for another project that is guaranteed to keep your head bobbing. Napoleon is already very well known to spit pure acid on the mic as far as his bars and I think he even pushes Sicknature to step his game up as well. It’s sort of a friendly competition where everyone turns out a winner. The beats on here are sick from beginning to end. Even though it is only 7 tracks, you get super hard drum slaps on every joint on here that are sure enough to keep any speaker working overtime. This is a great match-up and we definitely look forward to hearing more from this duo.

NAPOLEON DA LEGEND – KING OF THE NORTH STAR

Napoleon Da Legend drops off a new project with King Of The North Star. This one was a little harder to connect with than previous projects. There’s no question that NDL is a fantastic lyricist and always has been. That is evidenced throughout his projects and definitely on this new one as well. I don’t know if it is maybe the subject matter might be a little different on this one or the content might be a little harder to connect with. The best song on here is “Rei Of Hope” because it combines fantastic lyrics with a super slamming beat. On this track, NDL raps about achieving peace in a perfect life and it is just worded perfectly. I could see what he was saying as he was rapping it which is a rare thing for a lot of MCs out there. While this album may not be the best example of his work, I definitely think that Napoleon is a talented MC and he has it in him to release some quality material. We will await to see what he comes up with next.

Napoleon Da Legend might be one of the busiest men on the planet. He keeps churning out projects left and right. This new album is another great listen. On this project, he blends hip-hop with classic Japanese anime to come up with a concept album. Although I am not a huge fan of anime at all, this still turned out to be a pretty dope project all around. His rhymes are always on point. The dude is a nice MC and his flow is impeccable. You can hear it on every track. He definitely knows how to slay a track. The beats are pretty decent. Again, you can definitely get an anime vibe out of some of the tracks, but there are enough hard drums and clever samples to keep the purists happy. Napoleon Da Legend is a name you should be checking for if you haven’t thus far. Stay tuned to see what he cooks up next!

NAPOLEON DA LEGEND & SICKNATURE – SUPA KAIJU

Napoleon Da Legend teams up with MC and producer Sicknature from the Snowgoons for a project. As far as the lyrics go, I definitely have to give this one to Napoleon over Sicknature. Napoleon did his thing on the mic as he always does, but Sicknature, he just missed the mark for me. I thought his rhymes weren’t up to par and were at time a bit boring. The beats on here were a bit of a mixed bag. There were tracks like “Return Of The Kaiju” or “Monster At It” that almost sound more like a video game than anything else. Now speaking of that last song there, even though the beat doesn’t quite do it for me, Napoleon’s flow on there is unmatched. He really rips that song. The highlight of this project is probably “Prove Em Wrong.” It’s got a great message and a slamming beat that is guaranteed to snap your neck. While it wasn’t the best project I have heard, there were a few shining jewels mixed in there.

NAPOLEON DA LEGEND & GIALLO POINT – COUP D’ETAT, PT. 2

Napoleon Da Legend is back with another joint with a pretty dope underground producer Giallo Point. Giallo Point has been known for his work mainly with Hus Kingpin and Smoovth and has usually put out some dope material with them. Napoleon expertly crafts his rhymes once again and basically comes off as a teacher with how deep and complex his rhymes are. The beats on here are pretty decent for the most part. At times, I did feel that it was a little too laid back for my liking, but all in all, I think it was a good job overall for the musical backdrop. The standout track is probably “Bullied” in which Napoleon tells very visual stories of 2 children being bullied. It really makes you stop and think about people’s actions on that song. When a rapper can envoke that much feeling and convey the meaning so literally on a song, that is a true testament to how great of an MC he is. “Wisdom Rules” is another honorable mention on here with its dope beat and fantastic rhymes. Overall this was a pretty dope project. I always look forward to seeing what Napoleon has up his sleeve next.

The Legend comes back at us with another great project. This MC’s consistency is something to be studied. How he is able to churn out quality project after quality project is beyond me. His bars are dope and his flow is impeccable. If you are familiar with Napoleon Da Legend’s work, then you know what you will be getting on here. He is always able to slaughter the mic. The beats are dope as well. You get some really slamming production with some clever singing samples on some tracks which sound great. This is definitely a project that plays straight through pretty well. Give it a few listens and get on this train because it is not stopping any time soon.
