Skyzoo drops a new project produced by The Other Guys that is basically a narrative from the perspective of Franklin Saint from the late John Singleton series Snowfall. Skyzoo raps from his perspective and tells all about the adventures of a drug kingpin. I have never seen this show so I’m absolutely sure that I am not appreciating this project as much as I could. Even without knowing the context to it, I can firmly say it is still dope as hell. On the mic, Skyzoo’s flow will pretty much never be matched. He floats over every beat effortlessly with slick lines and focused punchlines. The beats on here are pretty dope as well and seem to lean more on piano keys and other instrumentation to create an older sound. Overall, this is a good album that can be appreciated without even seeing the show Snowfall. I can only imagine how good it would be after seeing the show.
