A posthumous release from the fallen hero Prodigy hits us all and reminds us how great the late rapper really was. When it comes to the bars, the Mobb Deep veteran still gives us real and poignant bars. He is still sharp as ever on this new record and you really get a sense of what an asset he was to the rap game. I would almost venture on to say about how these rhymes are even more personal than previous releases as he describes his relationships with women a lot more on here. He has features from Big Daddy Kane, Remy Ma, Chinky, Big Noyd, Faith Evans, Berto Rich, and more. The beats on here are pretty decent all around. He has a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to the music. You have bangers like the DJ Premier produced “Walk Out” and then you have more laid back, ladies tracks like the album highlight “You Will See” with an expertly sung hook from Berto Rich. All in all, Prodigy’s camp put together a great posthumous album for fans to always rejoice in his memory.
