DRAKE – HONESTLY, NEVERMIND

This new album is trash. Just straight trash. People can try to fake like it’s not, but it is. It is not on the same level of talent that Drake has made us used to over the last 10 years plus. Every prior album has had at least some level of greatness, but this one is nowhere near them. The only feature is 21 Savage and honestly, we didn’t really want one from him anyway, but it’s one of the better tracks on the album. Drake has a great voice and sings well, but the production on this album ruins it. The whole New Jersey club sound is not something that Drake has to do to get us all to like him. He was trying to go a new route and create a shift in the culture. We don’t want it like that. We want to hear Drake in all his glory the way that we have always loved him. He has one track where he raps “Jimmy Cooks” featuring 21 Savage and to be honest, that one isn’t even one of his better tracks. I’ll give him half a point for his singing and half a point for the way that this album was delivered with the quickness on the sly. Other than that, this one is pretty bad. I hope Drake can redeem himself by the time the year is over.
