Tyler The Creator teams up with DJ Drama to bring us this new album and it was actually a pretty decent listen throughout. It almost sounds like Tyler has reinvented himself a bit on this one. It sounds as if he has shed some of the weirdness to try to focus on creating more of a harder, grittier sound. His bars sound a little more focused. The production here is pretty decent as well. I think this is a project that definitely shows that Tyler is moving in a better direction. I think heads will appreciate the sound of this project more than previous ones. Having DJ Drama on here also lends some authenticity to it as well. Overall, not a bad job here by Tyler and Drama.
