Defari comes through with a brand new album that is pretty smooth overall. Positivity definitely abounds on this project as it does a lot of times on Defari albums. It has a West Coast slant to it and almost even a jazz feel. Defari is strong on the mic and offers a lot of jewels to those willing to listen. He definitely has religious undertones sprinkled all throughout his work. The beats on here are interesting. You’re not really going to get any West Coast slappers, but instead more of a smooth and focused sound. This may not be everyone’s cup of tea but Defari is definitely an asset to the West Coast.
