General Steele from the Boot Camp Clik drops off a new album. This one is heavily influenced by current social justice issues. It is definitely an important message, but often times I wonder if people get sick of hearing the same song over and over again. Again, I definitely stress that it is important work to be done and it must continue. There are times when even activists need to kick back and unwind sometimes. Everything can’t be “all on” 24/7. On the mic Steele is very good and gives us some powerful rhymes. He also employs some decent features from Tek, Rock, Spice-1, Napoleon Da Legend and more. The production on here is pretty decent as well. He is at least hitting for par on the beats he selected. The biggest downside is that it gets a bit repetitive as you listen through the album. A listener wants some diversity, but you aren’t going to get it with this record. Despite that though, all in all, not a bad effort from Steele.

OVERALL RATING: 3 out of 5 Cheesesteaks
