RJ Payne drops a somber new EP. This one was meant to be a form of therapy to deal with the passing of his father. First of all, condolences on the loss because that is tough no matter what the situation is. On the mic, RJ Payne is phenomenal. He always has the most complex and thought-provoking bars out there. Most MCs can’t match his skill level. The production on this one was decent, but not the best beats ever selected. There is an air to this album that it was thrown together quickly, which it seems was the case. At only 6 songs, you can definitely see some of the pain of RJ Payne though. Although this may not be his best work ever, this one is important and we definitely recognize that this was a form of catharsis.
