YG drops a new album off to his fans. I think this may be a valuable album to his core fanbase, but to the casual hip hop listener, there’s a big possibility that they won’t be feeling this one too much. On the mic, YG has a good flow, but I think his bars could use some work. He is obviously from the West Coast, and therefore showcases that vibe on here. The production is probably the better side of the coin here. There are definitely some West Coast vibes on here. There wasn’t really anything classic on here, but it’s a decent listen musically. This project is pretty middle of the road for today’s standards. You’re either going to really like it, or not be feeling it at all.
