Hus Kingpin drops a quick EP with Wavo In LA. This one sounds a bit thrown-together and lazy. The bars aren’t his best work. He basically spits some rhymes over top of some classic West Coast beats such as “Gin And Juice.” It’s sort of a good nostalgic piece, but truthfully, I’d rather go and listen to the original joints. When remakes or reworks are done, they should strive to be better or at least updated. This one sounds like just something to spit out to the streets to keep the name hot. It’s not really a bad listen, but I know I’ve heard better from Hus Kingpin.
