Camp Lo teams up with Pete Rock for another fantastic mixtape expedition. Walking 80 blocks from Tiffany’s is a great journey and if this is the soundtrack, I’m all in. Pete Rock does a fantastic job on the boards. Would you really expect anything different from the legendary producer? His beats have that signature Pete Rock sound but also complement the Camp Lo Style perfectly. Camp Lo, while they have gotten older since the “Luchini” days, still sound great on the mic. They mix that 70’s blaxploitation vibe with some slick rap lines and turn out some really great bars. You get great features from M.O.P., Talib Kweli, Uncle Murda, and more. This one definitely plays through very well front to back. The highlight on here is “No Uniform” featuring M.O.P. The beat is absolutely slamming. All the rappers sound great with their flows. The hook is amazing and catchy. You simply can’t go wrong here. This is a fantastic effort by all involved.
