Lil Flip is back with a very diverse collection of new songs. I don’t think that all of these styles mesh together well. He’ll have a rock song like “I Met Her In Vegas,” then a reggae-style song “Pass The Cone,” then a party song “Party Animal.” It’s not a very cohesive listen. It’s jarring to go from style to style so quickly. As far as his lyrics, Lil Flip has always been able to do his thing on the mic. I think he is at least hitting for par on the bar side of things. It’s always good to hear him spitting. I think he would do a lot better for himself to spit over those classic Houston, TX style beats. That is where he really thrives. All in all, this was a pretty average release.
