On paper, this project looks like it might be the best thing you have ever heard. In reality, it didn’t quite live up to they hype upon looking at the tracklist. As far as lyrics and guest appearances, they have almost every old school rapper that you could ever think of or want on here. I’d say the best features on here have to be from Kool G Rap. The veteran MC definitely gets busy on every track that he is on. Lyrically there is not really much bad I could say about this project as a whole. It’s pretty dope between all the legends that are on here. The beats are at least decent but there seems to be too much of an “industrialized” sound. You can hear the pure hip-hop sound with cuts and scratches and boom-bap beats but there is just an element that makes it weird somewhere in the mix. Can’t quite put my finger on it. That is really the only downside to this album. Other than that, it is pretty slamming and something you should definitely check out.
