This is a strong release from the newly released Troy Ave. The rhymes are on point. The beats are very, very good. It’s more of that boom bap that we have been wanting. I like that he keeps trying to bring back the classic New York sound. Not many out there are doing it but Troy Ave definitely keeps holding the flag. The stand out moment on this release is probably “Appreciate Me.” The beat is absolutely slamming and Troy Ave informs an ex about how she should now appreciate him as he has moved onto better things. “Rikers Island” is another strong track. The beat is tough. The sample is clever. Troy tells us about his jail experience. This album is a must listen for any classic NY sound loving fans. Troy Ave continues to be pretty consistent with each release he gives us.
