Khaled took a break from his normal recipe of making an album. This one doesn’t sound like the same song remixed 15 different times with the same artists on every track. I think Khaled took a bold step away from his comfort zone and it seems to have paid off. Khaled has always been known for making hits and anthems and he continues to do so with his 9th album. I think the album starts out strong, sort of fades out towards the middle, and finishes up strong. The highlights definitely include “I Got The Keys” with Future and Jay-Z (although I don’t know if I am completely sold on that song). Drake shines on “For Free” which includes a sample from Akinyele’s “Fuck Me For Free.” Nas definitely shines the brightest on his track “Nas Album Done.” Not only is that song great, but the title is definitely something that fans have wanted to hear for awhile. “Holy Key” shows us an outstanding performance from Big Sean. His lyrics are definitely dope on this one and it is almost reminiscent of his performance on “Control” since Kendrick Lamar is also on the track. Overall this is a pretty good album. I think Khaled is doing big things and is definitely growing into being a better artist and better organizer. I always look forward to what he is dropping out there.
