RANSOM – HISTORY OF VIOLENCE

Ransom is one of the most severely underrated lyricists out today. He is not given the credit that he so badly deserves. This mixtape is a very finely-crafted offering. The lyrics are absolutely awesome the whole way through. The production is just under par with the lyrics. This album is not lacking much at all. The highlights include “Hate Crimes,” “Royalty,” and “Sublime Intervention.” Ransom just has the flow and cadence that makes him seem like he is fresh out of jail and will punch a hole through your face for looking at him wrong. The dude is always hungry and always delivers. It’s a shame that this guy doesn’t get more credit from the hip-hop community. The only thing lacking from this album (and probably most Ransom mixtapes) is that it is hard to market it to a wider audience. While you won’t hear Ransom on the radio, you certainly will hear it blasting out of my car. I hope to get better and better Ransom projects in the future. Keep up the good work.
